Hupertufa Workshop
Sunday, August 24
1:00–5:00 PM
$85 per person | All materials included
Create your own beautiful, stone-like planters using a blend of peat moss, perlite, and Portland cement — a process known as hypertufa. These lightweight, durable vessels are perfect for succulents, herbs, and other small plants. They work beautifully indoors or out, adding a natural, handmade touch to any space.
Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi, this workshop embraces natural textures, simple forms, and the quiet beauty of imperfection.
We’ll provide a selection of simple molds to work with, but you’re also welcome to bring your own containers if you have something in mind.
This is a hands-on, slightly messy process, so please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dusty.
No experience necessary.
Note: This workshop involves working with dry cement mix and is not suitable for young children. Teens are welcome with interest and care.
