I returned from Devon feeling renewed, carrying the green hills and orchards with me—the sound of owls at night and the faint scent of woodsmoke lingering on my sweater. The Lessons in Listening residency with the Land Art Agency arrived at the perfect moment, each day shaped by the hills, the wind, and conversations that stretched beyond words. I’m also deeply grateful to On The Hill for their community farm and creative spaces.

I honour this new constellation of collaborators—a circle of creators who reminded me to trust my inner wisdom and dwell in the essence of being, heart-centred and open. Gratitude, reverence, and respect wove through my days.

Moments of synchronicity appeared like gifts, affirming one passion project while breathing fresh energy into others. The land, the people, and the collective current of this place have left their mark.

The world expresses itself in countless creative ways, and we, as humans, carry an innate ability to join this universal dialogue. Just as trees share wisdom through their roots and the moon guides the tides from above, communication moves through many forms. This residency invited us to uncover the diverse ways we might engage in these exchanges—fostering networks of listening and collaboration with all beings of the Land, Sea, and Sky.

Through the experience, we deepened our relationship with our most creative selves and expanded and enriched our artistic practices. We strengthened our connection to both the grand and the subtle forces that surround us. The residency was designed to restore our sense of possibility and inspire new pathways forward, both personally and collectively.
